Aguila Minishell shotshells are compact yet they deliver a significant boost to the ammo capacity of pump-action shotguns. Low-recoil options in single-shot or double-barrel firearms, making them perfect for those sensitive to recoil. Smooth bore barrels, are a top pick for target practice and hunting smaller game. Aguila slugs can also be utilized in rifled choke tube barrels or fully rifled barrels.

These compact shells, measuring only an inch and three-quarters, offer the versatility that we desire in a shotgun. Due to their small size, they take up less space and have a lighter recoil, while still delivering enough impact on target for various purposes including hunting, home defense, and recreational shooting. They also minimize the usual harshness that longer shells can inflict on our bodies.

However, there have been some cautions, even from Aguila itself, that these Mini Shells may not feed reliably in some pump guns. It is important to test them out and see how they perform in your specific firearm. But, it seems that the Keltec KSG is particularly fond of them, with the capability to double its capacity from the usual twelve 3-inch shells. This has piqued my interest in potentially adding one to my collection.

While this Aguila Minishell shotshell does not provide enough power to cycle the action on a semi-automatic gun, they are recommended by Aguila for use in side-by-sides, over/unders, and single shot shotguns.
